The growth of the Spanish-language media has exploded in recent years in cities across the country, and it has gained a greater national presence. The Spanish-language media have become among the most influential institutions in the Latino community and have empowered the community to challenge anti-immigrant, anti-Latino government policies. But consolidation has also impacted the Spanish-language press. Panelists will discuss the growing influence of the Spanish-language press as well as the challenges facing the industry.
