Asheville, North Carolina Endorses Nonprofit’s Wi-Fi Plan

A proposal to make Asheville a “Wi-Fi City” made by the nonprofit Mountain Area Information Network (MAIN) received unanimous endorsement last month from the Asheville City Council. MAIN has been providing Internet access to the Asheville community for several years now. One of the problems in the more rural areas of North Carolina is that many people have only dial-up connections.
