Perth Amboy, a city in northern New Jersey just across from New York City’s Staten Island, has struck a deal to take the town wireless in an effort to economize on the delivery of city services, according to a story in the Home News Tribune. The city will be working with a local integration firm known as the Breaker Group. Unfortunately, the story did not provide many details beyond a comparison of modern technology to Ben Franklin’s discovery of electricity. No one is at the city offices this weekend and we were unable to even find a web site for the Breaker Group online. If anyone can shed more light on this initiative, please weigh in below with details. We’ll update you as we learn more.
