The Common Language Project's mission is to develop and implement innovative multimedia approaches to international and local journalism. We focus on positive, inclusive and humane reporting of stories ignored by the mainstream media. Focus Areas include independent media, supporting nonprofit work and grassroots organizing through progressive journalism, facilitating international networking, and providing an in-depth, alternative, multimedia, international news source for independent press in the United States.

Free Press is a national, nonpartisan organization working to reform the media. Free Press does not support or oppose any candidate for public office. Through education, organizing and advocacy, we promote diverse and independent media ownership, strong public media and universal access to communications.
