Chicago Access Network Television (CAN TV) gives every Chicagoan a voice on cable television by providing video training, equipment, facilities and channel time for Chicago residents and nonprofit groups. CAN TV?s five local, non-commercial channels reach 1 million viewers in the city of Chicago. This unique communications resource belongs to the people of Chicago, whether you are a viewer, a producer, or simply believe in the right of free expression. CAN TV has become a lifeline for thousands of Chicago residents and nonprofits. Its channels are over 90% local, helping viewers find jobs, locate HIV/AIDS and domestic violence counseling, access art and educational resources, interact with local public officials, and experience a diversity of viewpoints.
