Local Community Radio Act of 2007
This bill, introduced by Sens. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.), opens the dial to more Low Power FM radio stations. These stations are community driven and locally oriented, providing news and information often ignored by mainstream radio.
A companion bill, H.R. 2802, was introduced in the House by Rep. Michael Doyle (D-PA).
