The 'Universal Broadband Deployment by 2015' resolution, introduced by Sen. John D. Rockefeller (D-W.Va), would increase the broadband standard to 100 Megabits and create affordable, universal access to broadband services by 2015. The resolution also calls on Congress and the president to begin enacting universal broadband legislation by the end of 2007.
