Craig Aaron, President and CEO

Craig Aaron leads all program, campaign and advocacy work. He works in the Washington office and speaks regularly on media, Internet and journalism issues.

Matt Wood, Policy Director

Matt Wood oversees all policy, litigation and lobbying work. He works in the Washington office and frequently comments on political and regulatory developments in media policy.

Timothy Karr, Senior Strategy Director

Timothy Karr manages all online initiatives, including SavetheInternet.com and SavetheNews.org. Based in the New York City metro area, Tim speaks and writes about the state of journalism and the future of the Internet.

S. Derek Turner, Research Director

S. Derek Turner conducts our research and analysis of government and corporate data in Washington. He regularly testifies before Congress and the FCC, and has written extensively on a wide range of media and technology issues.

Corie Wright, Senior Policy Counsel

Corie Wright advises Free Press on legal matters related to our policy, research and campaign work; helps craft our regulatory agenda; and represents Free Press on our issues before the FCC and Congress.

Joseph Torres, Senior External Affairs Director

Joseph Torres lobbies in Washington to ensure that our nation’s media and telecommunications policies serve the public interest.

Joel Kelsey, Political Adviser

Joel Kelsey works closely with the policy team to create Free Press' legislative agenda, to develop and implement political strategy and to work with the FCC and Capitol Hill on media policy issues.
