In the loop: North Kansas City considers providing broadband on its own

When Legette Brashears & Graham Inc. decided to open a satellite office in Kansas City three years ago, it chose space in cozy North Kansas City.
"We wanted Kansas City on our address and didn't want to have to pay an earnings tax," said Paul McCormick, a senior engineer at the engineering firm, based in Trumbull, Conn.
