Reality Check Finds Sacrament Wi-Fi Full of Holes

Technology gurus paint a seductive vision of municipal Wi-Fi: a network that would allow anyone anywhere within a city's borders to whip out a laptop or iPhone and plug into the Net for news, driving directions or just paying bills.
People could ditch their DSL or cable Internet connections in homes and offices for cheaper or even free city service.
