The police department in Logan, Ohio, is equipping cruisers with a wireless communications to access identification records from the field. The system ties into Ohio LEADS, a database of driver and vehicle information, and OHLeg, a criminal database. It will allow officers to access the databases to check identification without resorting to radios.
