Madison is not going to follow Chicago's lead in abandoning municipal Wi-Fi, mayoral aide George Twigg said Thursday.

The city has provided local wireless internet builder Mad City Broadband with logistical support but no money, Twigg added. In fact, the city makes a small amount of money for renting space on city property for transmitters, he said.
