The future of public access cable channels may be in doubt if a revised Ohio S.B. 117 is approved.

The bill would give the state sole control over negotiating cable television contracts with service providers, which could mean a reduction in public access channels and a loss of community programming oversight and revenue generated as part of current franchise agreements.
