Melissa Lane knows a thing or two about telecommunications in San Juan County. And as president of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce and a strong advocate for improved service, she has seen firsthand the frustrations when this region is disconnected from the outside world in a network that provides one-way traffic and no backup system.
