Cutting the Throttle: U.S. ISPs Loosen Up with BitTorrent

Most ISPs in the U.S. have greatly loosened their grip on BitTorrent traffic, according to new research. In 2008, for instance, Comcast throttled 49 percent of the BitTorrent Traffic on its network; by 2010, it was down to 3 percent. The situation appears to be different, however, for wireless providers.
