Gigabit fiber connections simply aren't available to home users in the U.S., apart from those offered by a handful of small and scattered local ISPs. That now changes if you live in Chattanooga, Tenn. , which will now offer 1Gbps connections across its entire service area -- including the rural counties around the city -- for $350.
