FCC Responds to Barton Allegations on Misquoting Telecom Industry

FFCC Chairman Julius Genachowski sent Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas) a short response to his allegation that the agency misquoted top telecom officials. The document in question was a press release that had included only partial quotes by industry representatives, including CTIA's Steve Largent, NCTA's Kyle McSlarrow and AT&T's Jim Cicconi.
