Insurance Industry Wants to Block Texting while Driving

Almost one in five drivers -- 18 percent -- report texting while driving in the past 30 days, according to a survey by the Insurance Research Council. The trade group said that texting while driving is a big-enough problem to warrant new products and services designed to block individual cell phones or smartphones from sending or receiving text messages while in a moving vehicle.
