It is time to end efforts to scuttle the Lafayette Utilities System's telecommunications project.

Implementation of the fiber-to-the-home venture is the will of the people, expressed at the polls in July of last year. Besides being approved by the voting public, the issue survived battles in the Legislature and before the Public Service Commission.
