Atlanta issues RFP for citywide wireless network

Atlanta, Georgia has issued an RFP seeking a vendor to build and run a wireless network that will cover 132 square miles. The city has 425,000 residents and a daytime populatino of 675,000 people. The city does not want to pay for the costs of building and maintaining the network, but it does not require the vendor to offer free wireless broadband service throughout the city.
