Named the "windsurfing capital of the world," Hood River will now be able to do another type of surfing — Web surfing powered by broadband Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) technology provided by EMBARQ. City employees, residents, visitors and public safety officials, in certain areas of the city, will have access to the latest in wireless mobile broadband technology.
