Mobile TV: Dagger in the Heart of Video Franchising, Must-Carry Laws?

This week a third major player, IPWireless (backed by Sprint Nextel), announced plans to enter the mobile TV wars. The other two companies are Qualcomm (the major supplier of mobile telephone handsets in the U.S.) and Crown Castle (one of the largest cell tower companies in the world). Widespread rollout of this technology is supposed to take place over the next 18 months.
