Area legislator fears lapses in rural phone, broadband service

INDIANAPOLIS - The Senate voted 40-6 Tuesday to approve basic telephone service deregulation as well as make sweeping changes to other telecommunications policy in the state.

Senate Bill 245 now moves to the House.
