A group of state lawmakers and officials with Hoosiers for Affordable Telephone Service held a news conference this morning to explain why a sweeping Indiana Senate telecommunications bill is bad for Indiana.

Opponents say the bill currently under consideration would lead to unchecked rate increases and poor service quality for phone customers.
