The purpose of the Localism Task force hearing is to gather information from consumers, industry, civic organizations, and others on broadcasters' service to their local communities. This hearing will begin with a number of invited guests making brief introductory remarks and will be followed by presentations from a variety of panelists. Chairman Michael K. Powell will preside and will be joined by Commissioners Kathleen Q. Abernathy, Michael J. Copps, and Jonathan S. Adelstein.
