"Rock the Net" Teleconference & Concert

Rock the Net, a nationwide campaign to fight for net neutrality and derail legislation that threatens access to music and cultural programming online, is coming to Seattle with a concert and teleconference.

Rep. Jay Inslee will be a featured speaker at the teleconference on Monday, October 29 at 11 a.m. PST. Inslee represents Washington state on the House Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet and has a long record of advocating for net neutrality.

Musician Matt Nathanson is headlining the concert for Rock the Net at the Crocodile Café (2200 Second Ave.) on Tuesday, October 30. Matt will also be speaking on the issue on the teleconference.

Teleconference details:Who: Rep. Jay Inslee, D-Wash, House Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet; musician Matt Nathanson; Jonathan Lawson, Reclaim the Media Executive Director; and Michael Bracy, Future of Music Coalition Policy Director. Representatives from the ACLU of Washington and the Seattle independent music scene will also be on the call.
