This year we will honor one of our most gifted authors of our time, Vine Deloria, Jr. Though Deloria was not a journalist by trade, his extraordinary skill as a writer and frank approach have inspired generations of scholars, students, Natives, non-Natives and journalists alike. NAJA's 23rd Annual Convention, We Talk, You Listen, is an attempt in reverence to that brilliance.
