Even during peacetime, journalists bear an awesome responsibility. In a complex, global world, citizens need timely, accurate, and relevant information so that they can make wise decisions about their lives.

Journalists are often ordinary citizens' only source of this information. So what do journalists do during wartime when they have information the government wants suppressed on grounds of national security, yet the public would plausibly want and even need to know this information?

Please join us for an event where these very issues will be addressed by a dynamic lineup of speakers including Barbara Crossette, former NYT foreign correspondent and Martin Bell, BBC war correspondent.
