Making Media Connections Conference

It's more than just a conference, it's Making Media Connections 2003!
The Community Media Workshop is the leading media relations organization serving nonprofits in the Midwest. Since 1989, the Workshop has provided low-cost communications training, helped journalists get tips and stories on vital issues, published Chicago's best used media guide and linked the communities working to improve our region with the media. Once a year the Workshop holds a conference to bring together community leaders, publicists, and journalists, called: Making Media Connections. Conference highlights will include:

Meet the Press—meet one-on- one and pitch stories to some of Chicago and the Midwest's best journalists

Media Mechanics: go one-on- one with some of the region's top media consultants
Case studies of what works

Seminars on undercovered issues

Extended workshops on story- telling, interview techniques, writing, and a media "boot camp."
