Making Films that Matter: Meaningful Activism and the Movies
In the wake of Michael Moore and the dozens of other filmakers who have sprung up to release political rant films in the past several months, filmmaker, radio host and activist Avi Lewis wants to see progressive filmmaking take the next step forward in terms of intellectual, analytical and artistic maturity.
Lewis will lead a panel discussion featuring filmmakers and activists in which they will discuss how this ever-expanding genre can move towards making more meaningful films with real politics and real people.
