Second Annual Symposium on Media Literacy in Education
Designed for teachers and administrators, this one day symposium is an opportunity to discuss, learn about, and share media literacy concepts and "how to's" with presenters and participants who care about the effects of media on our students' lives.
Workshops at the symposium provide practical information on using video, print, photography, and the Internet to empower our students to analyze and produce media. Sessions are geared specially toward a) teaching our students to become critical consumers of media and b) teaching our students to become active creators of independent media.
