Northeast Media Literacy Conference
A high-powered one day conference for all those interested in helping children and youth to understand the impact of today's mass media, including elementary and secondary teachers, administrators, counselors and prevention specialists, pediatricians & health care professionals, juvenile justice workers, media specialists, writers, and parents — all those interested in helping young people to notonly read, interpret, and think critically about the many messages from today's mass media saturated world, but to help the young to effectively and creatively communicate through the many media forms that are so attractive to them.
Free Press is a national, nonpartisan organization working to reform the media. Free Press does not support or oppose any candidate for public office. Through education, organizing and advocacy, we promote diverse and independent media ownership, strong public media and universal access to communications.
