Tax-deductible Giving

If a tax credit is a priority, you can receive a charitable deduction by making a gift to Free Press, our 501(c)(3) organization. Free Press undertakes the critical research, education and organizing that supports the public interest lobbying work of the Free Press Action Fund. To make a tax-deductible contribution to Free Press, contact Amy Altwarg Clough at 1-877-888-1533 x504 or e-mail her.

Because we lobby for media policies in the public interest, contributions to the Free Press Action Fund are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions or as business expenses under IRC S162(e).

Yet public interest lobbying is among our most important work because it enables us to advance our media policy reform goals in specific, tangible ways. And for every 445 industry lobbyists, there is only one public interest media advocate. Your contribution makes it possible for us to vie for -- and win -- the critical attention of lawmakers. All gifts made online support the Free Press Action Fund.

Free Press and the Free Press Action Fund are supported by individuals, foundations and public charities. We do not accept funds from businesses, government or political parties.
