Internships

Do you care about the future of the Internet? Do you wish there were better news and journalism in every community? Do you worry about the power of big companies in our media and in Washington, D.C.? Do you want to fight for better media?

In the past, interns have done amazing things:

Free Press offers the country’s premier internship in media reform. Every semester, a select handful of students are chosen as Free Press “Media Reform Scholars,” and have the opportunity to make a difference in a movement that is both essential and cutting edge.

Interns at Free Press are key members of the team and will be involved in research, outreach, policy, development, communications and operations work to support all of our campaigns. We are committed to ensuring that every internship is meaningful. All internships are designed to give students a chance to make a real impact on our work, develop new skills, and network with other media reformers around the country.

Free Press offers different internship programs for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as volunteer opportunities. Choose the program that is right for you.
